how to get rid of My Shapes folder generated by Visio 2003 ?

The other question is, why even worry about it? Not to sound uncaring, but
I don't quite see the problem in this folder existing.

The launch of Visio 2003 will create the folder "My Shapes" in the user's My
Documents folder.
If I delete this folder, the next time Visio launches, the folder is created
again.
If I rename this folder, the next time Visio launches, a new "My Shapes"
folder is created.

How can I get rid of this ?

Thank you.
Best wishes,
Cristi

Let's say it is ok to have a specific Visio folder, but let *me* choose its
name. I personally hate all that "My Something" names.

This is not "My Computer", because this computer is not mine (it does not
belongs to me). The original My Computer folder has been renamed to This
Computer.
This is not My Shapes folder, because there are few peoples sharing it. Who
is "My" ? There is a Projects folder instead, containing Visio and AutoCAD
projects, further divided in project numbers (or names).

Okay, I understand now, but I'm betting you are probably stuck with "My
Shapes" for the time being. I suggest submitting a request to the Microsoft
Wishlist outlining your issue.
