How to get tasks scheduled for a particular day of a month

Hi,

I am trying to schedule task in this manner:

I have resources attending specific meetings on certain days of the month. I
want to capture the amount of time spent on the project for a given period of
time. Here are the details:

REsources: 2 in number
Meeting days: Alternate Wednesday of every month until December 2009 and
Weekly Thursdays until Dec 2009.
Duration: 1 hr for each meeting.

If I schedule by putting the resource on say 7% for the rest of the year, in
PWA it shows as 0.1 or 0.15 on that task every day for the resource. I do not
want it to be shown like that. I want to know if it is possible to show 1hr
for that Wednesday of that week the resource will be attending the meeting
rather than getting that 1 hr split across the 5 working days in PWA.

Is that possible? Hope I am making sense.

Please advice.

Thanks,
Aparna

Have you tried scheduling the task as being recurring from within MS
Proejct Pro?

Insert, Recrrunt task, then choose your frequency.

Hi Mike,

Perfect! That helps. I never knew there was something called a recurring
task. Cool!

I have another follow-up question though:

I SHOULD have the resource name for each of the recurring task under the
main task, correct?

Thanks,
Aparna

You probably would wnat to use the granlar approach and assign each
resource to the specifiec meeting, rather than at the top summary
task.
