How to get text to go all around a shape

R

Robin

I am using Word 2000 and I am trying to get my text to go completely around
the whole outside of a shape. For example: A heart for a shape. I want the
text to go around the heart forming the shape.

How would I do this?

This is called "fitting text to a path". You really need to do this in a
program that provided true graphic design capability for type. Once you
create the element there & save it as an image you can import it to Word if
you wish.

Before placing the image in the document, make sure that you have sufficient
text that can run around the graphics. Smaller the font size, more flow of
text on the image path.

Do the following:
1. On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Pictures.
Most of the options in the tool bar might be disabled, if you do not click
the image.
2. Click the image
3. Click the Text Wrapping button on the Picture Toolbar.
4. Click Edit Wrap points.
5. Press Ctrl and click on the image path to add anchors point - Click agian
to delete anchor points.
6. Adjust the path to closely align with the image path.
This way you can run text around graphics.
