How to get the Access 2003 post-Service Pack 2 hotfix

I am so tired of Access 2003 crashing due to a problem reputedly fixed by the
Access 2003 post-Service Pack 2 hotfix (my issue is the last one bulleted in
article 902445).

Yet the contact support page says it'll cost me $35 to request the fix!

Is there any way to get the Access 2003 post-Service Pack 2 hotfix without
incurring a fee?????

Did you see the entry in the KB article saying

Note In special cases, charges that are ordinarily incurred for support
calls may be canceled if a Microsoft Support Professional determines that a
specific update will resolve your problem. The usual support costs will
apply to additional support questions and issues that do not qualify for the
specific update in question.

If it sounds as though you qualify for the hotfix, you shouldn't have to
pay. You will still be asked for a credit card number when you phone, but no
charge should be made.

Hi Doug

Thanks for your speedy response. A fix as broadly applicable as this one is
should be available as a download or SP or something. It's been several
months since the issues it addresses came to light.

Guess I'll have to call.
