How to give write access to a project

Robert

Hello,

How to give read/write access to a project to somebody who is not a PM?
Thanks for your help

Since you are in Project Server this is a security permission that is
available to PM's and a few other roles. PM's will need the rights to check
out projects and update projects. Check the original PM template for the
settings.

As Ellen already noted, you will need to customize your Project Server 2007
system to allow this. First of all, the person who is not a PM must have
Project Professional 2007. Second, you will need to create a custom
Category that specifically selects this one project in the Projects section
of the page. Then you will need to create a custom Group that contains the
user and contains the custom Category. When you select the Category while
in the Group, you can specify the permissions for this project using the
permissions from the Project Managers security template. You can also set
the Global Permissions from the Project Managers security template as well.
Once you have done this, you can reduce these permissions in both the
Permissions grid and the Global Permissions grid, as needed. Hope this
helps.
