How to Group Orders By Customer Number In Word 2000

S

SEAN DI''''ANNO

Hi ladies and gentleman. In theory I though this would be easy but I am
really struggling. I have an Excel file simlar in format to;

Supplier No Supplier Name Order No
S1 Seton 1
S1 Seton 2
s2 Brady 3

I am trying to do a mail merge in word which for the header has the Supplier
No and Name and then lists all of the order which belong to that Supplier. I
know this would be easy in Access but I want to learn some more about Word.

Eg

1st page Supplier S1 - Seton
Your orders are;
1
2

Next Page etc. If this is possibe, I would need to know how to force a new
page if for example the same supplier has hundreds of orders.

Can any one please be kind enough to show me how this can be done if at all.

Word does not really have the ability to do this. You would be better off
to stick to Access, but, see the "Group Multiple items for a single
condition" item on fellow MVP Cindy Meister's website at

http://homepage.swissonline.ch/cindymeister/mergfaq1.htm#DBPic

Or take a look at the following Knowledge Base Article

or at:
