How to have files of images on website and download.

I have a problem.
I have a number of images on my website which I wish my customers be able to
download for advertising purposes.

When you click on the image it simply opens up in a new browser window.

How do I set it up so that it can be downloaded by a click on the image ?

Make the image clickable and link it to a zip/rar file that contains the
complete image.

Or tell the visitor to right-click on the image and choose 'save as".
