Hi,
Is it possible to hide some of the dimensions based on
data availability under that particular dimension?
For Example:
In an organization hierarchy, CEO<--VP<--Directors<--
Senior Managers<--Managers<--Tech Leads.
As shown above, the Managers report to the Senior
Managers, but in some cases, some of the Managers might
directly report to the Director and a level "Senior
Manager" does not contain any value or NULL values.
In this scenario, we want to hide that particular level
completely and show the next level. Since this kind of
scenario is not common, we want to decide on run time to
see if this is the case.
How can this be achieved from the back-end (Analysis
Services Cube Design) and front-end perspective (OWC10
Pivot Table) and which approach has an advantage over the
other?
Thanks
