How to hide filter buttons in pivot tables?

I am using Excel 2002, and it shows pull-down buttons for pivot table
fields. Is there any way to hide them?

You can disable selection through code:

Sub DisableSelection()
Dim pt As PivotTable
Dim pf As PivotField
Set pt = ActiveSheet.PivotTables(1)
For Each pf In pt.PivotFields
pf.EnableItemSelection = False
Next
End Sub
