I'm using Office (Word) 2003 and MOSS 2007. I want to add a hyperlink to a
Word document that points to a folder contained in a document library on a
Sharepoint site.
I can go into a document library, then into a folder, and click on a
document I can copy the URL and paste into Word (can also get the link if I
right-click on the document and select Copy Shortcut). When I click on the
hyperlink in the Word document it brings up the document in IE. This is good.
I can go into a folder and copy its URL or right-click on a folder to Copy
Shortcut, then paste into Word. When I click on the hyperlink in Word it
brings up the document library in IE. This is not good.
How can I add a hyperlink to a Word document that points to a folder
contained in a document library on a Sharepoint site? Really I don't want to
limit this to Word, I'd like to be able to add a link to Word, Excel,
Outlook, etc.
