How to hyperlink using child window

I use FrontPage 2003 to create a text hyperlink to an absolute URL. The
webpage is transfeered to the URL on click action and my only easy option
remaining to return to the originating webpage having the hyperlink is to
use browser back button. I wish to modify the hyperlink for better
funstionality by instead opening a child windowtp display the URL contents so
I can use the child window features to close the child window without
affecting the parent(originating webpage). Where can I find the appropriate
Javascript to do this?

You apply the target frame to each individual hyperlink and do not check set as the default.
