How to I list active fields?

I'd like to have an overview over the custom fields which I've already set
up. This would be useful when adding a new column. For instance, I'm working
on a project with some 10-15 text fields (columns) and whenever I want to add
a new one, I have to manually 'browse through' available numbers until I come
to the next one available (because I obviously don't remember)...

This question is for Project 2007

Hi Henrik

Addition to Trevor good working practice.

I sometimes receive files from other sources and need to check against any
of used text fields.

What I have done is to create a custom view, custom table & custom filter.

1) Create a custom table selecting only the task name & all the text fields
2) Create filter to check if each text field is = 0
3) Create custom view to have this custom table & custom filter
4) Go into Tools / Organizer and copy these custom items to the Global


This can now be used for any file

Thank you, I was not aware of that distinction.

Are there any situations in which is makes sense to use the Title rather
than the Name?
