How to I modify e-mail addresses that are already in Outlook?

I correspond with many people at a company that has just changed it's name
and all e-mail addresses have changed. Instead of entering in all new e-mail
addresses, I want to go in and modify the addresses that are already in
Outlook. (The ones that display automatically when you type the first few
letters in the field next to "To" while composing a new e-mail.)

Firstly, this is a forum for questions about Microsoft Word, not Outlook.
Therefore, your question is off-topic.

That said, it's not possible to do what you are asking. The 'recently used'
email addresses are not editable. All you can do is delete them from this
list by selecting one and pressing the Delete key.

However, if you change the address in your Outlook Contacts and then use
this new address (or reply to a message received from one of these new
addresses), the next time you use this functionality the new address will be
displayed.

Note that it is possible to quickly update an email address for an existing
Contact when you receive a message from one. Just right-click on the sender's
name in the message and choose "Add to Contacts". A new Contact will be
created, and if you give this new Contact the same name as an existing
Contact, you should be prompted to update the existing Contact with the new
information.
