How to import *.dbx files to Outlook2007 without OutlookExpress?

I have *.dbx files but no OutlookExpress itself anymore. How can I import
those *.dbx files into Outlook2007?

What operating system? About the only way you can run Outlook 2007, but
not have Outlook Express is if you're using Vista. If this is the case,
import the .DBX files into Windows Mail (or Windows Live Mail) and export to
Outlook 2007 from there.

My operating system is Vista. My old computer with Windows XP and
OutlookExpress crashed, I could save only *.dbx files but cannot run
OutlookExpress anymore.
I have tried Windows Mail to import those *.dbx files and it didn't work.
When I point to directory where *.dbx files located, it does not "see" them,
directory looks empty. It seems like it is looking for different file formats.
Do you have any other suggestions?

Did you save the file called Folders.dbx?

Then just select the folder with the files in - I don't think the import
function shows the individual files....

What menu items did you click to attempt to import them? You do not use
File>Import.

I did use File->Import.
My problem is resolved now.
When choosing files to import I had to choose directory where the files were
located, not going inside that directory, as Gordon suggested.
I suppose both Windows Mail and Outlook could be more user friendly in this
matter...
