how to import ERWin ER1 into Visio

i need to import ER1 files from ERWin into Vision Professional 2003. I can
import ERX files using a built in functionality from the menus, but how do i
import the newere ER1 diagram file format?

I am trying to import erx file in to Visio Professional 2003 but I do not
get anything. Any suggestions you can give me will be appreciated.

Anyway while reading all the help files one of them said to do er1 files you
have to have the Visio Enterprise edition.

Hi Jerry,
in Visio Pro. 2003, open a Database template, teh basic one will do.
This will add a "Database" menu to the menu bar.
From the Database menu select "Import" -> "Import ERwin ERX file ..."
that should do it
