How to Import GAL details to contact address book (Mail or PST)

V

Vikram Samant.

Hi Everyone,

Need one help to find out solution for me. I hope some one help me. My
sinario as follows,

In my organisation some user are Laptop users so I configured there MS
Office Outlook 2003 in two profile. One when they are in office and when
they are in home or some other location.

When they select office profile I map there account to Exchange server
(SMTP). So they can access mail using SMTP with cache mode exchange. They
can see GAL user list and add them successfully and send successfully. I
also configure rules so all mails download to PST.

When they are out of office they select out of office profile and they using
POP3 protocol to access my exchange server. They can access mail
successfully and reply them successful. Here also I configure same PST so
all pop3 mail directly go to this PST.

But problem is when they are in office and all mails download to PST
automatically via rules. But when they go to home and access that mail and
replying that mail then it shows failure notice. When we double click on
sender's name it doesn't shows giving error. They are all GAL members. When
I checked there mail server contact list and PST contact list there is no
entry found. I think atleast some sync between GAL to Address book but its
not happening. Can any one guide me how I can give them GAL users contact
details into Contact list (Mail or PST).

Thanking you.

Yours truly,
Vikram Samant.

GAL entries are not available in POP only profiles. See http://www.slipstick.com/exs/portagal.htm for possible solutions.
