hello,

is there a way to import pictures in visio with the complete filename.
If i import gif files, they all are named "Mastershape". I´ve got thousends
of files to import. Do i have to rename them picture by picture????

My second question is if it is possible to import complete Folders with
Pictures in Visio. The foldername should be the name of the template, and
the files
in the folders should be in this folders with their original filename.

I´ve got 6000 Pictures to import.

Please help me!

Thank you

Unclear what you need to do.
Are you creating
a stencil with 6000 masters
6000 stencils with a master on each
6000 Visio documents
a single document with 6000 pages
a single page with 6000 shapes
?
Which ever you are doing, you could achieve it with VBA.

what we need to do:

- 6000 masters in 100 stencils. (600 per stencil)
- on a single page
- on a single document

it should become a kind of configurator. On the left you got different
"categories" (100stencils). In every stencil are about 600 differnt masters.

at the moment we got 100 directories (those should become the 100 stencils)
and
600 gif files in every directory. (those should become the 600 masters per
stencil)

we got absolutly no knowledge in vba scripting, but we need a solution
a.s.a.p..
