How to import Word docs into One Note?

I have a large number of Word docs that are all organized in various folders,
subfolders, etc. in my My Documents folder. I would like to be able to bring
them over into OneNote. I know how I can bring over the folder structure,
but not the contents of the folder. I know how to bring them over one by one
as 'printouts' but that does not allow for editing.

Anyone have other ways?

There are several ways.
It all depends on what you want to do with the imported documents.

As you said you want to be able to *edit* the docs, printing to ON /
inserting as image is not a choice.

You could embed the files.
The files would then be editable with Word.
But you would not see them inside ON.
And the original doc will not be changed. You could use "Save as" in
Word.

You could insert a link to the file.
The originals would be editable in Word this way.
But you would not see them inside ON.

You could use Copy+Paste to insert the content of the docs into ON.
Text would be editable in ON but much of the formatting might get lost.
And you could use the docs again in Word unless using Copy+Paste the
text into a new Word doc.
