How to increase the zoom settings in slide sorter to over 100%

When reviewing slides in the PowerPoint slide sorter the maximum zoom
setting is 100% and that is still way too small to have a good view of
what you're actually sorting. Is there any way to bump up the size a
bit more? As it is I can't even make out the titles of my slides on my
Powerbook screen, so it doesn't really help me review my presentations
(usually 50+ charts). From my Windows days I recall it worked really
well there, but on my Mac it's just a lot of smalll fuzzy print. Any
help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi Frederic,

I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure the limitation on the zoom control
in slide sorter view is the same for Mac and Windows (Steve - are you
there?...)

I agree that it would be nice to have a higher limit.

I've been contemplating making an add-in that would make thumbnails of
each slide sorta like slide sorter view, but bigger. Not much time to do
that, unfortunately.

Yes, you're right, the limit is also 100% for Windows but somehow the
individual slides come up much bigger than on my Mac. I guess - but
just guess - that it has to do with the screen; my 15 inch Mac screen
fits more slides on it than my old square pc screen. It looks better
but it's extremely annoying if you can't make out what you want to
sort. That add-in of yours sounds great...days are getting longer now
with summer coming up so maybe you can squeeze in that extra hour!

It's probably not so much the size of the screen (at least not directly) but
the current video resolution.

The higher the resolution in Windows, the more slides you get per row in the
slide sorter (so the smaller each slide). Probably the same on Mac.

You could try a lower resolution for giggles.

It looks better

but it's extremely annoying if you can't make out what you want to
sort. That add-in of yours sounds great...days are getting longer now

Ayup. The windows versions go to 400% in slide view, 100% in slide sorter
view.

One totally unlikely=seeming trick:

Go to File, Page Setup. Double both of the slide dimensions. Where once you
got maybe four slides per row, you now have two, each commensurately larger.

Don't forget to change the page size back afterwards.

I agree that it would be nice to have a higher limit.

Super!! This really works. At last I can organize my presentations
without killing my eyes. It's so simple and useful I could imagine a
little menu item doing exactly that in some near future. An outstanding
