How to input rss feeds on your website using publisher?

New to publisher

I am looking to put a verse for the day on my website using the RSS feed, but
failed to figure out how. If you could help me with getting rss feeds on my
website using publisher that would be helpful.

Well, I am new to RSS feeds, and haven't seen a site built with Publisher
using a RSS feed. Publisher is intended for small static websites, and most
people that want dynamic functions move on to FrontPage or some other more
suitable program. With that said, I would suspect that if it is possible,
you would use the insert html code fragment tool in Publisher to insert the
RSS code.

David,

Thanks for your insight. I have done that and it doesn't really get me a
feed just some of the information found in the code.

Do you know where I can go to get more info on RSS feeds?

I guess I would go back to your source for the code, and study the
directions and code to see if you have made mistakes in implementing it.

In addition to the lead that Mary gave you, check out other sources and
types of code, such as JavaScript, that might accomplish what you want. Here
is a link to a group of "scrollers" code:

And check out this section:

In general, I would suggest that you Google for alternatives until you find
a free code snippet that works for you....and with Publisher. Just remember
that by choosing to use Publisher to build your site, you are gaining a lot
of convenience, but also limitations. Part of the challenge, and fun, is
finding ways to work within those limitations.
