How to insert a .jpg or .bmp picture into a Visio doc?

Is there a way to insert a picture in a .jpg, .bmp or.tif format into a Visio
document? I have tried everything. Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated. I am trying to insert company department logos into text boxes
of a diagram I designed. I could also insert the pics under the text box but
I cannot seem to get that to work either. Help! Thanks. Bev in distress.

Hi Bev,

There is one additional thing you might note about importing .jpegs. You
can copy and paste them too. If you run into a problem resizing the photo
after pasting it, do a "select all" (Ctl-A) on the photo and then from the
"Shape" menu, do an ungroup and immediately upon completion do a regroup. I
have one of thos 2 trillion images on 30 CDs kits and ran into the resizing
problem when I copied and pasted some of them. I discovered this fix by
trial and error. There may be a more Visio-literate way to do it, but this
one works.
