How to insert a sound file permanently in ppoint (2007)

Hi.
I didn’t find the way to insert a sound file permanently in a ppoint file.
What happened is that when I send the ppoint file by e-mail it loses the
sound. How do I do to avoid that?
Thanks

First, the sounds must be in WAV format.

Next, use Tools, Options to ensure that PPT embeds your sound files even if
they're quite large.

Then re-insert the sounds after deleting the originals.

Understand that this is liable to result in PPT files that are too large for
some people to send/receive via email.

There's more information and some other workarounds here:

Sounds/Movies don't play, images disappear or links break when I move or
email a presentation

You can insert WMV, AVI, MP3, WAV file into your PowerPoint. Open the
PowerPoint, on the ribbion, click Insert, sound, sound from file, then
find the sound file on your computer.

Remember, when you want to send the presentation to others, you should
send the whole folder contains the presentation and sound file,
otherwise, the sound will not play on other's computer.

You can use the Insert command with all of these file types, yes, but
only WAVs are embedded (which is what the OP was after, I think).
Others are linked.

And the rest of your advice is incomplete and won't work as you describe
it. For it to work, the user must put the sound files in the same
folder as the PPT *first* and only then insert them into the PPT.

Then, if you keep the sounds and PPT together, AND if you can get the
user at the other end to save all of the files from the email to the
same folder on THEIR computer ... then it'll work.

Usually.
