How to Insert Page Breaks in a multi page table?

I have a 46 page document that has one long table with 2 columns. When I select a different printer or try to make a PDF to stabilize the document for mailing, most of the page breaks are completely off. This was originally created in Word 95. I've tried inserting breaks with control/enter and by going to the format/paragraph/line breaks menu, but I must not be selecting the right options. Can anyone help????
