How to insert picture from camera?

Having difficulty..any help appreciated.

Trying to insert a picture into a word document from my digicamera..its an
Olympus5050.

With camera attached by cable/USB and switched on and doing...

Insert/Picture/From Scanner or Camera/highlight camera in Device/click
Custom Insert (the Insert button is greyed out - not sure if that should be
the case?)..then I get the words...An error occurred while acquiring the
image. Damn!

Any thoughts,

The camera should appear as a removeable drive so just use Insert>Picture
from File and then navigate to that drive and (you'll probably have to open
a folder on it) then select the picture.

Hi,
Thanks for the comments.
Good news - got it sorted...at least via My Computer which will
do!...problem turned out to be because I had the wrong camera description
loaded....when all reference to cameras was deleted via device manager,
then, when camera connected a Removable disc H appeared in My Computer...and
clicking a couple of times accessed the pics..goodho
