how to insert symbol or sign on the top right of any number

Like a superscript?

If the value in the cell is really an number, then you can't do it.

If you treat the value as text (preformat the cell as text or start your entry
with an apostrophe '1234), you can select the characters you want (in the
formula bar), then click format|Cells and check the Superscript box.

Depending on the symbol or sign, you can either use custom formatting;
concatenation; or a VBA event-triggered SUBroutine

If a number, use a Custom Format.

Type a zero the Alt + 0178 for superscript 2, 0179 for superscript 3, 0176
for the degree symbol

Note: use the numpad on right to enter the numbers.
