How to install if No CD-Drive available

Hi, I am planning on buying a Netbook. It does not have a CD drive although
plenty of USB ports. How can I install office without buying an external
drive?
If I downloaded from the net, how big would the download be?
Could I just copy the info from the CD onto an external Hard Drive and then
from there installed it to the Netbook?

Yes, you can install from a USB external drive. Copy the entire contents of
the DVD/CD into a folder on the hard drive and then install from there.
Done it many times with all versions of Office.

That should work fine. I've done something like this any number of times w/o
problems.
