How to install Microsoft Equation 3.0.

I have tried to install Microsoft Equation 3.0, but the help menu says that a
custom setup screen will come up where I can click on the "advanced
customization of applications check box". On my computer, that is not an
option.

The instructions say, "5. IF A CUSTOM SETUP SCREEN APPEARS
[emphasis added], select the Choose advanced customization of
applications check box, and then click Next." If you do not get
a Custom Setup screen, then skip this step.
