How to Install Ofc 97 Upgrade on a wiped HDD?

T

tomzbox

Okay, I have a familiar problem: A newly wiped HDD and only my copy of Office
97 Upgrade, not the Full version. I no longer have a pathway for the upgrade
setup program to find my older Office/MS Word programs in order to install
the Ofc 97 Upgrade. Is there a workaround? Is there a way to reinstall MS
Office 97 on my HDD without buying expensive new software? Is there a key
code that will allow my Ofc 97 Upgrade to reinstall itself without finding
the older version?

Thanks,
tom

Sorry, but the only way to install an upgrade version of the
old Office 97 application is to have the installation media
for the qualifying previous product available.

Now is a good time to consider purchasing an upgrade version of Office 2003.
