How to install office on to my computer?

I have a compaq presario and am able to install other programs on it. I am
running into a problem installing office 2003. It is brand new and when I
put in the cd it says its copying files to the computer then it says that the
window installer service can not be accessed either because I am running the
computer in safe mode (which I don't think I am) or the installer has not
been installed correctly, please contact my support provider. I don't have
one. What do I do? I need this program for a computer class that I am taking.
