How to install Polish grammar and spell checker for Office 2000?

I cannot find and install the Polish grammar and spell checker for Office
2000. I need it as I'm a translator using the Polish language and, although
I'm a good writer and speller, I often miss quite a few typos. Such a piece
of software would be handy. I couldn't find it on my installation disk.

What language version of Office 2000 do you have? If it's the English
language version, then no, Polish proofing tools would not be on your
CD. If it's the Lithuanian or Polish language version, then yes, Polish
proofing tools would be on your CD.

You can purchase the Office 2000 Proofing Tools CD and install Polish
proofing tools from that. Unfortunately the Office 2000 Proofing Tools
CD is no longer available directly from Microsoft, and it's been a very
long time since I've seen it available from any online vendor. Proofing
tools are specific to each Office version, so proofing tools from Office
XP, Office 2003, or Office 2007 will not work with Office 2000.

If this feature is something you really need, then you should consider
purchasing an Office 2007 edition and adding the Office 2007 Single
Language Pack for Polish.
