How to install Project 2003 Server with existing WSS?

Hi;

I planned to install Project 2003 server on a Server box "A" while a current
WSS is installed on a server box "B" and a SQL server installed on a server
box "C", in this configuration what should be configured in WSS server in
box "B"? Do I need to configure a project sites in WSS? Or do I need
install some components of Project 2003 server to WSS?

Thanks in advance.

You need to complete all the WSS installation steps contained in the
installation guide. Nothing more, nothing less.

Hi;

Thanks for your information.

When I follow the instruction of "To extend the virtual server" on
"Configure Windows Sharepoint Services" chapter, I found the following on
Virtual Server List.

Name URL
Version
9000:SharepointEmbeddedSites http://web2:9000/ Not Installed
Extend
Administration http://web2:8098
5.0.2.5012 Upgrade
Default Web Site http://web2/
6.0.2.5530
Microsoft SharePoint Administration http://web2:2390 5.0.2.5012
Not Administrable

When I tried to click on "Default Web Site" for extend, it direct me back to
the "Virtual Server Setting" page, it seems does not allow me to do extend.
Is it because there is an "extend" already? How many extend can it support?

Thanks!

Very likely, yes. You have to back out any work you've already performed.
You're not providing enough information for anyone to give a specific, do
this, do that recitation. If WSS is already installed and extended on a top
level site, then skip those instructions. Isn't that logical? Keep in mind
that you haven't told us anything about the state of server B and your
intentions and goals. For instance, it wouldn't be very wise to point your
Project Server at the default site on server B if it's already being used in
another way.
