How To Keep Copy And Paste Group Image Attributes

Does anyone know how to keep shape attributes after copying and pasting
a group image in Visio 2003 into a blank Visio 2003 document ? I paste
the image into a blank document, ungroup the image, and all the shapes
have lost their attributes. I have tried all the paste special
options, but none of them work.

I assume you are referring to shape custom properties by the term
'attributes'. If the custom properties are associated with the group shape,
ungrouping causes this shape to be deleted and thus you lose the custom
properties.

If you are referring to a different scenario, please explain again.
