how to know which xp cd goes on which computer?

hi everyone,
our office have several win xp (home/pro). around 8 i believe.
my problem is one of the xp machine needs to be reinstalled because it
crashed. we had to replace the hd.

when i tried to install the xp os, i entered 1 of the 8 cd key.
after the installation i was trying to activate it and it said that the
key was already used or something like that.

how do i know which key goes on which machine?

most of the stickers are not readable anymore because these are easily
destroyed everytime you clean a computer with the liquid cleaner. there
is a night time crew that does the maintenance for our office.

we already gave instructions not to rub the sticker but they are still
vanishing.

any help would be appreciated.

i am talking about both the os and office xp cd keys...
