How to link 2 PC via Peer-to-Peer

B

Bonzai

I want to share files & Outlook Calendar/Business Contacts with another
remote PC user. We're in different locations/home offices and do not have a
server nor network.
What is Peer-to-Peer exactly and is it the solution for sharing? If so what
are the technical requirements and how do I set it up?

Thank you in advanc for your help!

Then it will be very difficult. One option is to use Yahoo Intellisync.

Peer-to-peer networking is where two or more machines are connected together
either by a physical network cable, or by wireless, the implication being
that the machines are in the same room or building. You cannot use
peer-to-peer networking (AFAIK) where the machines are in different
physical locations unless it is possible to connect those locations either
by cable or by wireless.

Thank you Gordon. Not exactly what I wanted to hear but I was afraid of
that...I will look into Yahoo Intellisync...but looks like I may have to
subscribe to a MS Exchange service.
Thanks again for taking the time to respond.

Yahoo Intellisync will enable you to sync calendar, contacts and Tasks
between two or more locations across the web. It's NOT a Calendar sharing
tool in the same sense as Exchange is.
