How to link an icon to "Favorite" when visitor bookmarks site?

How do you "embed" or "link" an icon to your page, so that when a visitor
bookmarks your site, it shows up on their Favorites List with its own
distinctive icon?

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon">
