How to Link Orphan Pages?

D

Davy

I am creating a community website by copying another
community website which I developed previously and then
editing the data.

Whilst doing this I do not want the unedited pages to be
visible or linked.

I think I can unlink the unedited pages by deleting (just
the navigation) in the FP navigation view. But don't know
how to bring unlinked pages back into the web when I am
ready to edit them.

Anybody any ideas?

You can right click the unedited page in Navigation View and choose "Do
not show in link bars" (text may vary). The box representing the page
will go grey, and remain in navigation view, but the link on other pages
will not appear.

When the page is edited, right click on the page in Navigation view and
click "Do not show in link bars" again - the box will revert to the
normal yellow colour and the link will be re-established.

If you delete the page from navigation view, when edited drag the page
back from the folder list and drop it in the correct place.

Ron,
thats brilliant - problem solved. The second method
would allow me to import a page I would guess.
