How to lock project baseline plan

Hi,
I need to lock the project baseline plan (forbid any further changes once
it's been approved by the executives.). Could anyone point me to the right
direction to get this done? I am running proejct server 2007.

Sorry, this can not be done.
You can get part way there by trapping any task changes and rejecting any
which change the baseline, but that method is not solid enough to count on it
to "lock" the baseline. You can always create a copy of the schedule which is
read only which the baseline can be compared against. This way you can detect
a change. Preventing a change is virtually impossible without cutting access
to the project plan.

Baselines 0-5 are also known as protected baselines. Access to save
protected baselines is a category permissions which can be removed, therefore
stopping PM's from saving these baselines. As such someone with this
permission, maybe portfolio manager, will have to save the baseline before
commencement of work.
