Hello!
How to make a connector connect to a text box in Word 2003? A connector does
not connect to a text box.
Best regards,

In order for a connector to connect to *anything* the elements _must_ be in
a Drawing Canvas. If the setting to create the canvas is OFF & you don't
want it to be ON as the standard setting you can go to Insert>Picture>New
Drawing to create one. Draw the Text Box & when you go to create the
connector look for the little blue dots that appear next to the Text Box's
handles when you pointer is near the edge of the Box. Those are the
connection points.

Thanks CyberTaz for your reply!
The setting to create the canvas was and is on. Insert>Picture>New
Drawing does not help. The little blue dots next to the Text Box's handles do not appear when I point near the edge of the Box.

Once you create the Text Box - just in case I wasn't clear - you need to
then select one of the Connector tools. When you point inside or at the edge
of the Text Box with the connector tool is when the connection points
appear. IOW, the connection points on the Text Box don't show up until you
select & point to it with a Connector tool.

If this is what you are doing & still don't see the blue connection points I
don't know what to suggest.

Yes. I point inside or at the edge of the Text Box with the connector tool,
select & point to it with a Connector tool, and still don't see the blue
connection points.
The problem is, a canvas was not created or deleted when the text boxes were
created. They were created not on a canvas. Adding a canvas afterwards
beneath them did not allow connectors to connect to the text boxes.

Dima
