How to make a custom field read-only in Project Server 2003

Hi:

I am really new to Project Server 2003. I have a custom field to which I
add data. How would I make it read-only to everyone but me, the
administrator?

Thanks

When you create a custom enterprise field in the Enterprise Global file,
users of Microsoft Project can select a value from the field, but they
cannot add, remove, or edit values in the field. The editing capability
belongs only to you and to other members of the Administrators group. Hope
this helps.

Thank you for your response. The custom field is added in the Global file
yet the Project Managers can see and edit the field. They are not an
administrator. How do I hide it or make it read-only from everyone but an
administrator?

Thank you,
Carmelita

What type of field are you using? If you are using a Text field with a
value list, your PM's can select a value from the list, but they cannot add,
remove, or edit the values in the list. Assuming you are describing a
custom enterprise Project field, there is no way to hide the field, nor can
you make it read-only. Hope this helps.
