Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I want the header to be different on every page as I want the header to feature the section of the document the reader is currently in. I have used headings to create a table of contents. Can I use these heading in my headers automatically in some way like you do with table of contents?

Aha. After asking lots of questions, I can answer one. You can do this with
a field in the header.

In your header, select Insert > Field, and then select Links and References.
In the other table select StyleRef. You¹ll have to type in the style name
yourself; unfortunately there¹s no way to select from your styles. The
options button provides some switches that you can explore.

I haven¹t looked, but I assume you can find more information in Word¹s help
under fields or field codes.

Good luck!

Hi Andrea:

You nailed it! Well done :)

No, Mac Word Help forgot to include any documentation at all on fields;

Use the Word 2003 Help, which is here:

Cheers

thanks! It worked, I don't understand how at all, but it did, thank you :D
