How to make a message rule that's not client-only?

Every rule I create is marked as "client-only". Why, and how can I make a
message rule that's not client-only? (I have an Exchange account along with a
POP3, and I'm using Outlook 2007).

I found out that all of them contained something that caused them to become
client-only... thanks for the link.

I have another question regarding this issue:
are my rules stored on the Exchange server by default even if they can run
only on the client? I mean am I able to use them if I connect to the server
from elsewhere with Outlook? How?

with your version, yes, they are all stored on the server but the client
side ones may be 'for this machine only' rules so they can only run on the
machine they were created on.

Thanks. And do I see it right that if I delete my Exchange account and I'll
have only the pop3 one with god knows what mailserver running, then none of
my rules will be saved on the server?

correct. this only applies when you use an exchange acct.

But the rules specifically for the pop acct should not be stored on the
server anyway - they should be stored in the default delivery location
(which may be the mailbox on the exchange server, but as a separate object
from the exchange rules).
