Word 2003, XP: I received a document from another company, which contains
bitmap illustrations that are pasted inline into the text. I need to make
these into files so that I can use them within a drawing canvas in my
document. I don't know a satisfactory way to do this. I can copy the graphic
object and paste into Paint, but Paint can't save the bitmap with the colors
intact. I've tried pasting into GIMP, but it doesn't come through as the full,
original image-- only what it looks like on the Word page.
Graphic bitmaps are objects and are similar to files, so it seems there
should be an easy way to make them actual files. Any ideas?
