How to make an audio file to load to an mp3 player from a word doc

I teach special needs students who can barely read. They are auditory
learners and I need to know how to make an audio file from a Microsoft word
document (specifically 2007 version) so it can be downloaded to an mp3 player
and they can listen to it instead of trying to read it.
