How to make an outlook like calendar in access

We want to add a vacation planner into our exist access
database. I designed a tblVation with fields: VacationID
(primary key), employeeID, StartDate, Enddate. Users want
the form is like a calendar(for example, the calendar in
outlook). They want to be able to write employee name and
highlight vacation time period in the calendar, the
employee name, startDate and endDate will be able to input
the tblVacation, and the calendar can show monthly views,
the names of the people who are on vacation will show on
the monthly view calendar. If someone just takes half day
off, how to represent this? Can anyone help me on this? Or
give me an example how to do it? Thanks for your help!
