Dear all,
I am applying for some grant and they ask me to provide them an URL
including my privacy information... That's bad, but I have to do as
they asked... But I really don't want the information to be accessible
to any other person hidden in this world.
Is there any way that I can protect my webpage from indexed, cached,
and kept by the search engines? I know I can use "googlebot" meta-tag
in the HTML for GOOGLE, and I can use "robots" meta-tag for other
search engines...
But I don't know if the above combination works for the search
engines? Is "meta-tag" well recognized by all search engines?
Another question is about other documents I may put a link on the
webpage. For example, WORD document, PDF document, seems that the
search engines are powerful enough to understand WORD and PDF document
and still index, cache, and keep such documents...
Anybody has good idea to keep hidden the my webpages?
Thanks a lot,
-Walala
