how to make word 2008 full screen? The Word only takes up half of the size on the desktop, and it is too small, and it is frustrating.

You can go to VIEW>FULL SCREEN, which will eliminate the menu bars and icons
at the top. You can also pull out the bottom right corner of the screen to
make it fill up more of your work space.

Yes, but how do you get off the full screen mode? I don't see a button
anywhere..

I can't tell what message you're replying to since you replied to your
own original post, but the selecting View/Full Screen from the main menu
will toggle back to a standard window mode.

You can also assign a keyboard shortcut (Tools/Customize Keyboard...) to
the ToggleFull command.

Don't need to assign one... esc will do it :)

True, but I was making an attempt to offer some additional value in my
reply... <g>

Esc only gets *out* of full screen mode (which is, of course, all that
the OP asked for).

Assigning the keyboard shortcut, though, toggles both in and out of full
screen mode (which may, or may not, be useful).

That it does, but I just had to mess with you a little :)

You must have won the election - I see you seem to have a fair amount of
free time on your hands.
