How to manually regist the com add-in for excel2007

I just use the follow way. I set the information in HKLM.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins\My2007Addin]
"CommandLineSafe"=dword:00000001
"Description"="My2007Addin by"
"FriendlyName"="My2007Addin"
"LoadBehavior"=dword:00000003
"Manifest"="C:\\bin\\My2007Addin.dll.manifest"

After it.
I open Excel, I find it can be shown in add-in, but it no use at all.

Does this way OK?

From your post, my understanding on this issue is: you wonder how to
manually register a Office COM Add-in in regedit. If I'm off base, please

I suggest that you should read this article from Managed newsgroup support

It talks about how to register the unmanaged COM Add-ins and managed ones,
also, it provides some general suggestions for trouble-shooting the COM
add-ins loading issues. You may also check if the add-in fails in
OnConnection or OnStartupComplete. Office may disable the add-in when a
failure in the events occurs.

regist addin. And I see this addin in excel, but it has no affect.
I just feel that some key that I miss to set

Do you mean that the Excel add-in still cannot work properly ("has no
effect") when you use regasm to register the add-in dll? You mentioned that
the add-in is loaded successfully, would you decribe in detail how your
add-in "has no effect"? Is that to say some events are lost for the add-in?
