how to mark emails as Answered or fowarded ?

I wold like to see he emails that I have answered and the ones I haven t...
right now it doesn t show me which ones have. Usually there s like a little
arrow on th left side of the email showing if the email ha been forwarded or
replied or not.Can someone help me ?
