how to marked percent of tasks completed via project server?

Hi Everybody...

Currently I am exploring Project Server but have some concerns

I want to do the following management steps

1. Project Manager create an .mpp file and publish it on project.server
(completed)
2. Team Member see his/her task assigned to him by PM via project server
3. Team Member will marked percent of tasks completed via project server.
(this task can be done via mpp file but my company also want this to be done
without using the mpp file)

Point 1 is working fine. Point 2 partially works but unable to do point 4.
Can any one tell me how to marked percent of tasks completed via project
server?
