Project Server relies on Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) to provide
documents, issues, and risks management. You will need to move those
databases as well.
This assumes Server B has a fresh install of Windows SharePoint Services and
that no sites have been created. WSSWiz should have been run as in a normal
Project Server installation. WSSWiz installs the Project Server template to
WSS.
PERFORM THESE STEPS ON SERVER B
1. Open SharePoint Central Administration from Administrative Tools.
2. Under Virtual Server Configuration select Configure virtual server
settings.
3. Select the web site you have installed for WSS such as Default Web Site.
4. Click Manage content database under Virtual Server Management.
5. There should only be one database listed so select that one.
6. Near the bottom click the check box for Remove content database.
7. Click OK to the warning box.
8. Enter the database account password under Database Information.
9. Click OK at the bottom of the page.
* You can follow the steps 1-4 on Server A to find out what database stores
the content (sites, which contain issues, risks, and documents)
* Once you know which database stores content on Server A, move that
database to Server B.
FOLLOW STEPS 1-4 ABOVE ON SERVER B
5. Click Add a content database
6. Enter the database connection information pointing to the database you
moved
7. Enter the Database Capacity Settings. By default these are 9000 and
15000
8. Click OK.
Hopefully everything will work well for you.
